Story
The narrative opens in a woodland close to the Riders settlement. The hero, Lilia, and Cheval, three little pals, discover a shining egg.
The three of them playfully imitate the Rite of Kinship, and are surprised when it works!
When the egg hatches, a newborn Rathalos—also referred to as "the King of the Skies"—a flying wyvern—is revealed. After giving him the loving name "Ratha," the three return him to the community.
After a few days, the village is suddenly attacked by a creature that has contracted "the Black Blight." It destroys the town and leaves Cheval and Lilia with permanent scars before they are able to chase it away.
One year goes by...
The Village Chief presents the hero with a Kinship Stone, so granting him official Rider status. Lilia and Cheval both depart from the village, each taking their own route. Even though he is no longer with his boyhood pals, the hero teams up with the upbeat Navirou and sets off on a brand-new journey into the realm of hunters.

Important Information Concerning the Network Battle Function
As of March 31, 2020, the Network Battle feature is no longer accessible due to a change in Google Play Games. You will be able to access all of the Titles earned from Battle Ranks, though, once you update to Ver.1.0.2. We've also devised a way for players to still be able to claim a reward in the game that is exclusively available through Network Battle. Please update to the most recent version of the program and select "Network Battle" for more information.
Note: After completing part of the tale, the Network Battle menu appears.
Extra Words of Wisdom
- When you launch the app for the first time, you must accept the terms of the "Monster Hunter Stories End User License Agreement" (link below).
- The narrative on this app is identical to that on the portable console version.
- This version does not support many handheld console capabilities, including some collaboration content, amiibo functionality, local Network Battles, and StreetPass.
- Any saved data will likewise be deleted if this app is deleted.
- The only way to get this app is through Wi-Fi.
- The Japanese version of Battle Party's QR codes is incompatible with this version.
