I would like to update from the F-Droid builds. What should I do?
Tachiyomi's F-Droid version lacks official support, so it cannot be updated.
You can migrate to an official build by following these steps:
- You should make a backup of your data.
- The F-Droid version must be removed (if possible, the app data should be discarded).
- Get Tachiyomi and check it out.
- Backups can be restored.
Keeping an F-Droid repo would not be necessary since Tachiyomi manages updates on its own. Details can be found in this GitHub comment.
