The new M-PESA App is here! You can do more with the new M-PESA app, and it's fast and convenient. You can now manage your financials on your mobile phone with just a few taps using the new features.
- Transactions on M-PESA - Make money transfers, buy goods, pay bills, withdraw cash from agents, and buy airtime with a brand-new user experience.
- Offline Mode - Access and transact on the app without an active data connection (Send Money, LNM, withdraws, and buys airtime only), i.e. without a data bundle or by turning off data altogether.
- M-PESA - This card enables the user to track M-PESA expenditures per month, including aggregate and average spending per day, as well as transactions broken down by category with the user being able to change the category.
- M-PESA statement - Access and interact with your entire M-PESA statement directly from the home screen. You can also filter, download, and export the PDF version for printing.
- E-receipts - Share transaction information with other users by downloading and sharing e-receipts for sending money, buying goods, paying bills, and withdrawing cash.
- Biometric authentication - Log in and transact on the app using your face or fingerprint without having to enter your M-PESA PIN manually
- Introducing Pochi la Biashara - A new transaction type that lets users send money to micro merchants' business wallets through M-PESA
- Favorites - Save people or businesses you interact with regularly directly on the app so you don’t have to manually enter the details every time you want to make a payment
- Money Frequents - Automatically generate a list of businesses or people you frequently send money to
- M-PESA Global - Send money to mobile phones, send money to banks, send money to Western Union, top up and withdraw money from PayPal, and pick up while roaming.
- Bills Due - Receive notifications regarding due bills and pay directly from the app* for participating billers
- Bundles - buy Safaricom data, voice, and SMS bundles directly from the app with airtime or M-PESA.
- Send money with gifs/descriptions - Include a recipient description or a gif when sending money
- Send money with profile picture - Enables users to upload a profile picture that will be visible when someone sends them money via the app
- QR - Initiate sending money, buying goods, paying bills, and withdrawing transactions by scanning QR codes and generating and sharing your own personal QR code
