Nursing Professionals' Application:

  • This is the most recent edition of NANDA-I, which has been fully updated.
  • The 2015-2017 Diagnostics (NANDA-I), Results (NOC 5th edition), and Interventions (NIC 6th edition), as well as their Interrelationships, which are now referred to as Links (3rd edition), are all part of this.
  • The 11 medical diagnoses are used to navigate between NANDA/NOC, NANDA/NIC, NOC/NIC, NOC/NANDA, NIC/NANDA, NIC/NOC, and NOC/NIC.
  • Searches are accessible in all formats:
  • In accordance with the code.
  • In accordance with the label.
  • By establishing NANDA factors and characteristics.
  • Utilising NOC indicators.
  • By NIC Activities.
  • By the Nursing Specialties of the NOC and NIC.
  • Options for filtering:
  • NANDA - Domains of Nanda-I.
  • Author: V. Henderson Needs.
  • By M. Gordon Patterns.
  • NOC- Domains of the NOC.
  • By M. Gordon Patterns.
  • NIC - By NIC Fields.
  • Favourites can be established in both Diagnoses, Results, and Interventions, and they are subsequently added to the Favourites Menu for easy and rapid access.
  • Similarly, Comments may be incorporated into any Diagnosis, Result, or Intervention, regardless of whether they are favourites or not.
  • Navigation between NANDA/NOC, NANDA/NIC, NOC/NIC, NOC/NANDA, NIC/NANDA, and NIC/NOC. These navigations have been derived from the extant relationships in the NIC with NANDA, NOC with NANDA, and Links books.
  • Some of the Interventions obtained from the NIC 6th edition, which are considered Main, Suggested, and Optional, may be duplicated with respect to those Associated with Related Factors obtained from the Links book in its 3rd edition, when navigating NANDA with NIC. Both the new DoE and the new NICs that were incorporated in the 6th edition do not exhibit this phenomenon. We have elected to retain this information in our databases because it broadens the scope of our search capabilities.
  • Similar situations arise when the Risk DoE navigates NANDA with NIC, as the Interventions classified as Main, Suggested, and Optional are determined by the relationships between NIC and NANDA in the 6th edition of NIC. Consequently, some of them may appear to be duplicates, as they are in alignment with the associated risk factors from the third edition of Links. Both the new DoE and the new NICs that were incorporated in the 6th edition do not exhibit this phenomenon. We have elected to retain this information in our databases because it broadens the scope of our search capabilities.

Recent developments in the most recent NANDA-I publication (2015-2017)

  • In this edition, 26 new diagnoses have been included, which span from code 231 to 251 and from 253 to 257 and include both. Codes 189 to 192, inclusive, and 252 are not associated with any diagnosis.
  • However, seven diagnoses have been eliminated, with the following codes: 1, 3, 50, 101, 111, 127, and 186.

News in the Links book

  • As a novelty, it includes NOC and NIC connections to medical diagnoses.
  • The NIC Interventions associated with the Related Factors are presented in alphabetical order in the Real Diagnoses. They are not associated with any particular factors.
  • The authors of the new Links book have not associated the NOC Results or the NIC Interventions with each risk factor; instead, they are presented as alphabetical lists in the Risk Diagnoses.

Recent developments in the NIC book

  • A notable innovation in the sixth edition of the NIC is the reestablishment of its relationship with NANDA. The information in question had vanished from the previous edition.

Recent developments in the NOC book

  • The inclusion of a classification based on the Standards of Dr. Marjory Gordon is a noteworthy innovation in the 5th edition of the NOC.
