The project's current feature list includes several additions intended to give users more control over the TikTok interface and content experience. These features distinguish TikTok You from the standard application.
Region Switcher
TikTok You includes a region-switching feature that can change the region used by the modified application. The project says this can affect the feed, trends, and sounds displayed by the app without requiring a VPN or separate third-party service.
This can be useful for users who want to explore how TikTok content differs between regions, although availability and behavior can change as TikTok's underlying systems are updated.
Clean Feed
Another major feature is the clean feed option. According to the project, users can hide selected types of content such as advertisements, livestreams, photo posts, and stories.
The idea is straightforward: instead of changing the entire recommendation system, the modification provides additional controls over what appears while browsing.
Custom App Icon
TikTok You 4.4 also provides options for changing the application's icon directly through its settings. The project says that users can select a TikTok You icon without needing a separate launcher or additional application.
This is primarily a cosmetic feature, but it can make the application feel more personalized.
Custom Colors
The modification supports additional interface customization through custom colors. It can use a Material You-style dynamic palette or allow users to select a custom interface color.
For people who prefer adjusting the appearance of their applications, this provides more flexibility than the standard TikTok interface.
Anti-Burn-In Mode
TikTok You includes an anti-burn-in feature designed around OLED displays. The project describes an adjustable interface opacity system intended to reduce the risk associated with static interface elements remaining on screen for long periods.
This is a specialized feature rather than something most casual users will need, but it demonstrates the project's focus on additional Android customization.
Content Filters
TikTok You also provides content-filtering controls. The current feature description says users can create rules based on words, tags, likes, or view counts.
This gives users more control over what appears in their recommendations and can be particularly useful for people who want a more customized browsing experience.
Automatic Streaks
The application includes an automatic streak feature for selected chats. According to the project, users can configure recipients, timing, and the sticker used for the action.
Because this interacts with TikTok's messaging functionality, users should understand that modified behavior can potentially change or conflict with TikTok's normal service behavior.
Profile Badges
TikTok You allows users to choose a profile badge displayed beside their name within the modified application. The project describes this as a visual feature that does not change the underlying account details.
Download and Media Features
The TikTok You project also lists additional download controls. Its current update information says users can manually select video quality when downloading content and can download audio separately, with audio saved to the Music/TikTok directory.
The project has also made changes to playback and downloading behavior across earlier versions. For example, the selected playback speed can persist between videos, while newer releases have included improvements to downloading.
These features are part of the modification and should not be assumed to represent functions provided by the official TikTok application.

Is TikTok You 4.4 Official TikTok?
No. TikTok You 4.4 is not the official TikTok application.
The project's own website explicitly states that TikTok You is a free TikTok modification for Android and that the project is not affiliated with ByteDance or TikTok Pte. Ltd.
